Now it’s time
to say goodbye
to all our company.

The past fifty years have been very special. I have to thank Barry Thomson for inviting me to join Aluma Systems when I came back to Canada from Jamaica w-a-y back in May of 1972.
Since then, I’ve had a number of role models and mentors; some of whom are Joe Stanford, Harold Forbes, Al Squire, Ralph Bennett, and Dave Glabe. I’ve been fortunate to have been able to work in 6 of the 7 continents; I have no interest in working in the 7 th – tropical heat is OK, but COLD, that’s something else!
I’ve been honoured by the Scaffold Industry Association of Canada, Professional Engineers Ontario, Construction Safety Association of Ontario, and Engineers Canada.
In addition to my “day job,” I’ve spent 10 years with the Peel Literacy Guild, 10 with Brampton Chapter Executive, another 10 years with the Literacy Council of South Simcoe (Next Step), and 10 more with the Consulting Engineer Designation Committee. I’m currently a member of the Lakehead Chapter Executive.
Now it’s time to hang up my hat and say thank you to everyone who’s had an influence in my life and that I’ll miss the challenges that have been presented to me.
